Summary:
As the focus on marine growth prevention increases, a varied mix of approaches and technologies is being adopted in order to effectively reduce the cost and environmental impact of biofouling. This webinar will focus on ultrasonics anti-fouling system and will explain how they work, where can ultrasonics be effectively utilised, and their place in the armoury in the battle with biofouling.

Speaker: Mr. Darren Jones is an Environment and Sustainability Director at Sonihull - NRG Marine and the Chair of the Global Industry Alliance (GIA) for Marine Biosafety of GloFouling Partnerships Project. Darren is a Chartered Director with experience on both public and private sector boards and has a focus on strategy, governance, and external engagement. Darren is currently a Non-Executive Chair of Develop Consulting and a lay governor of NHS Arden Gem CSU. He has previously been Vice Chair of NHS Coventry and Warwickshire, and a President of Coventry and Warwickshire Chambers of Commerce.
Speaker: Dr. Mark Potter after completing successful research at the University of Warwick in the Ultrasonics Group, is now a Director at Sonemat. A spin-off company from the University of Warwick, bringing ultrasonic technology from the laboratory to market as both off-the-shelf and bespoke ultrasonic solutions at the University of Warwick. He has experience in condensed matter experimental Physics, including piezoelectric microsystems, low-temperature photo-luminescence spectroscopy and ultrasonics.
